Small Group Hosts & Facilitators
WE ARE CURRENTLY ENLISTING FACILITATORS AND HOSTS FOR THE 2010 SPRING SEMESTER
One of the four purposes we have at Antioch is to help both our members and guests to GROW in their relationships with Christ and others. We provide a number of avenues in which this is accomplished such as Sunday Sc
hool and Small Groups.
Small Groups is another small and intimate way in which we can bring people closer in their relationships with Christ and others through the use of Bible studies that meet people where there are and lead them to where Christ would have them. To keep this essential part of our GROW purpose, we need to have two components: Facilitators and Hosts
FACILITATORS
Our facilitators bring their spiritual maturity and gift of teaching into this area to provide an environment that fosters both learning and the cultivating of group interaction and relationship growth. If you sense that God is leading you to become a facilitator in our small groups, please contact us so we can discuss the available opportunities.
HOSTS
Being a host for one of our small groups is another way in which someone can contribute to the GROW purpose at Antioch. The obvious details for this is of course to open up your home for the group to conduct their studies. It is optional, but encouraged, that a host would participate in the small group as a learner. One of the other responsibilities of the host would be to organize the meals for each small group session. Most hosts have had some of the group members assist with the meals by having them bring parts of a meal or selecting another to be responsible for the meal. This part can be handled with ease with proper communication with the facilitator of the group. If you would be interested in hosting a small group, please contact us so we can discuss the available opportunities.
If you are interested in becoming either a host for a small group or a facilitator of one of our small groups, then the next step is to contact Mike Royal or Pastor Ernie. We will be glad to speak with you to provide any additional details and to answer any questions your may have. You can call the church office (816.884.5324) or click the appropriate name above to send an email.
