Small Groups is an essential process that helps members and individuals to GROW in their relationship with Christ and others. We offer a number of small group options throughout the year. We have divided up the calendar year into three semesters. During each semester, there will be several small group options to choose from. Some groups will only meet for part of the semester while others will meet the entire semester - depending on the Bible study content. Registration is required to participate in order to schedule proper facilities and obtaining required learner materials. Take a look at the course offerings and choose the small group you would be interested in registering for.
To help with your choice and scheduling, the semester schedule is listed below. This will be maintained each year. There will be course offerings that will span the entire semester and some courses that will cover part of it (4 weeks, 8 weeks). See course descriptions for details.

GROUP DESCRIPTION:
Our group is about transforming lives by exploring a faith that embraces discipleship.
We will begin with an intense 1 year study of the teachings of Christ. This will be accomplished in a mutual accountability group. This community of grace will allow opportunity to practice these spiritual disciplines and Christ-like habits in a safe, challenging, and encouraging atmosphere. Our goal will be to develop Christ-like character through depth of relationship and commitment. A strong emphasis will be placed on developing the habits which create the character of Christ.

Antioch strives to challenge individuals through small groups to grow in the faith resulting in committed Disciples of Christ. We have developed a process by which all of our small groups navigate in order to assist individuals to accomplish that result.
These four processes are (in brief)...
Connecting: We seek to have individuals connecting with Christ and others through worship and relationships.
Growing: We seek to challenge individuals in the intentional growing of their faith through small group and individual studies, worship, and life experiences.
Reaching: We seek to challenge individuals in the intentional reaching out to share their faith with those inside and outside their circle of influence.
Serving: We seek to challenge individuals in serving those around them whether in local, regional, national, or international efforts.
We believe that we are called to be intentional in everything we do. Becoming part of Antioch or a small group does not place you on the sidelines or on the bench. It places you in the staring lineup and ready for action. |
